Positively Green - Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide people and businesses with a range of greener alternatives for doing the everyday things we need to do to take care of our families in a modern world.
 
We are also passionate about connecting with people and companies to explore how we can all play a part in creating an environmentally sustainable future for our children and future generations.
 

Our Beliefs

There is an old African proverb that says, "if you want to go quickly, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together". We believe that to create a prosperous future for everybody and everything, humanity must now go very far very quickly!
 
Just as the journey of 1000 miles begins with one step, so to we, our families and our businesses need to progressively take steps towards more sustainable lifestyles and work practices.
 
At Positively Green, we don't believe that our society can create a perfect, environmentally friendly world overnight; but we believe that each positive step we take towards balancing environmental, social and economic needs into a triple bottom line view of profitability, the closer we come to creating a destiny where future generations have an opportunity to live well on an earth worth inhabiting.
  • We believe that to create this future, people and businesses need to take responsibility for choosing greener, more sustainable alternatives.
  • We believe that for the majority of people and businesses to do this we need governments and companies to focus on creating cost effective, greener solutions.
  • We believe that in bringing a higher level of ‘awareness’ and personal responsibility to our lives and our businesses, we can easily take actions that are more harmonious with nature and therefore more respectful of our own true interests, which must include having environmentally sustainable systems in place to ensure for the well being of future generations.
  • We believe that when we choose to operate from a higher level of awareness, our lives become infinitely more fulfilling.
  • We believe that when enough people realise our collective need for a future that respects our environment, companies and governments will have no choice but to follow suit.
  • We believe that socially responsible enterprises will be the key to delivering such a future, governments and non profits cannot deliver the future we need on their own.
  • We believe that each and every one of us in the world today is privileged to be alive at a time when evolution itself is calling us to become leaders for progressive environmental change, and to redefine our dream of what a modern, progressive society is.
  • We believe that money alone is not a true gauge of wealth. For example, isn't it a curious fact that depression is at epidemic levels in modern western societies where we have the greatest levels of material wealth?
  • We regularly host ‘Changing the Dream Symposiums’. These incredibly moving one day events help people reconnect with their connection with the environment and experience the possibility of living in, and helping create an environmentally sustainable world.
